November 2017 Films Ranked

Another month down, another ranked list. I saw 16 films released in November and, for the most part, it was a great month for movies. The only major release I missed that I wanted to catch was “Wonder,” especially after hearing such solid buzz. Still, November was filled with strong awards contenders so let’s get started with the list!

What’s New in Theaters (11/10/17): “Murder on the Orient Express,” “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” and More…

There are two new wide release films opening this weekend as well as two movies opening in limited release, including Kenneth Branagh’s star-studded adaptation of “Murder on the Orient Express,” the Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg sequel, “Daddy’s Home 2,” Joachim Trier’s twisted Norwegian film, “Thelma,” and Martin McDonaugh’s festival favorite, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” Let’s take a closer look into each film and see which ones are worth checking out.

Recap of TIFF 2017!

So it’s been a week since the 42nd Toronto International Film Festival has come to a close. It was a wild ride, but I got to see a lot of truly remarkable films, some surprising gems, and yes, some piles of trash. So I just wanted to take the time to do a recap of the festival and talk about the best and the worst that TIFF had to offer this year. Here we go!

Day 8 was real good! Saw some pleasant surprises as well as revisiting one of my favorite films of the year. Films include Aaron Sorkin’s “Molly’s Game,” Joachim Trier’s “Thelma,” Martin McDonaugh’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” and Neil Burger’s “The Upside.” Here we go!
