“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” – SPOILER Review

You can click HERE for my spoiler-free thoughts on “The Last Jedi.” For everyone else, this review will be where I discuss the film in detail, going in depth about the things I liked and disliked about the newest episode in the “Star Wars” saga. I’ll be going through each individual character and their contributions to the story as well as the major set pieces. I’ll also be talking about points that many fans have taken issue with as well as points I just want to bring up on my own. With that warning out of the way, there’s plenty here to discuss and after now having seen “The Last Jedi” three times and loving it more and more with each subsequent viewing, I’m excited to talk specifics about why this film works so well.

Rian Johnson, Director of “Looper,” Signed On To Write and Direct “Star Wars: Episode VIII”

Deadline¬†broke the news today that Rian Johnson, the director of the 2012 hit film “Looper,” will be writing and directing “Star Wars Episode VIII.” The article also suggested that he will also be writing and directing “Episode IX” but then several websites since have debunked that news story stating that he will only “write the treatment for the ninth film.”

Lupita Nyong’o And Gwendoline Christie Join “Star Wars Episode VII” Cast!

LucasFilm released the list of cast members for “Star Wars Episode VII” a little over a month ago. The list included John Boyega (“Attack the Block”), Daisy Ridley (“Scrawl”), Adam Driver (HBO’s “Girls”), Oscar Isaac (“Inside Llewyn Davis”), Andy Serkis (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), Domhnall Gleeson (“About Time”), Max von Sydow (“Minority Report”), and original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. Now, they have added two more names to that cast list with recent Academy Award winner, Lupita Nyong’o (“12 Years a Slave”) and Gwendoline Christie (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”). Continue reading

LucasFilm Hires “Chronicle” Director For Second “Star Wars” Spin-Off

J.J. Abrams and company are¬†currently filming “Star Wars Episode VII” as we speak, but that doesn’t mean LucasFilm isn’t looking ahead into the galaxy far, far away. They’ve already chosen Gareth Edwards (“Godzilla”) to direct one of the spin-off films set to open in late 2016.
