“Guardians Of The Galaxy” 17 Minute Sneak Peek Review

As you may know, I am extremely excited for Marvel’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy” coming up in just a few weeks. The trailers have been absolutely fantastic and it just looked like such a fun and unique movie from the studio. Not to mention that it’s also the movie that directly leads us into “Avengers: Age Of Ultron.” So yesterday, I attended a sneak peek event where I saw 17 minutes of the film in IMAX 3D. I was super excited to get more of a glimpse at what I will be seeing come July 31. After having seen the footage, words cannot describe how much higher my anticipation is for this film. After the disappointing news that Edgar Wright (“Shaun of the Dead”) is no longer directing “Ant-Man” for Marvel Studios, everyone’s been curious about who’s going to take over as director. I advocated in my editorial that Phil Lord and Chris Miller (“The Lego Movie”) would be the best choices to direct. Director Edgar Wright Has Left Marvel’s “Ant-Man.” Who Should Take Over?

News broke this past Friday that director Edgar Wright, most famous for his Cornetto trilogy (“Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz,” and “The World’s End”), has departed the director’s chair from Marvel Studio’s upcoming film, “Ant-Man.” Here’s what the studio had to say:

Marvel Studios and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on “Ant-Man” due to differences in their vision of the film. The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly. Continue reading
