Full-Length Trailer For “The Expendables 3” Now Online

After two trailers that delivered absolutely nothing but showcasing the ensemble cast, we finally have a trailer for “The Expendables 3” giving us a glimpse at what the film is actually about. You can watch the trailer below.

Now I have mixed feelings on this franchise. The first “Expendables” movie, while not without it’s fun moments, was a disappointment that didn’t have quite enough action to satisfy the action junkie in me. “The Expendables 2,” however, was a blast to watch in the theater and was exactly what I wanted the first movie to be. So, as expected, I was optimistic that this film would follow suit with the second film rather than the original.

Unfortunately, this trailer didn’t really do anything for me. It looks fine, I guess, but I didn’t really get excited to see the movie once the trailer finished. I feel like there wasn’t enough of the “wink-at-the-audience” style humor that the second one had, which was something that made it so much fun in the first place.

Also, I must say that Stallone’s recent comments about the film being rated PG-13 kinda turned me off. Besides the fact that really the core demographic for these films is obviously old enough to pay for a ticket to an R-rated movie, I feel like these films need to be as hardcore violent as they can be. These movies are fun because they’re hyper-violent and bloody. Without that, they just end up becoming nothing more than your average, generic action film. Hell, even something really stupid like “Machete Kills” had some added fun to it when they threw in some blood and gore to the mix.

So what do you guys think about this new trailer for “The Expendables 3?” Are you a fan of the first two films? Comment with your thoughts down below.

“The Expendables 3” opens in theaters on August 15, 2014.

Thank you guys so much for reading and, as always, “Follow the Screen, Scene X Scene!”
