“The Amazing Spider-Man 3” May Be Pushed Back to 2017?!?

Keep in mind that the following story has not been confirmed by Sony so this could very well not be true. However, I feel I need to express my thoughts on the situation if it does appear to be true.

According to Ain’t It Cool News, Sony’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” might not be opening in 2016 as previously expected. Here’s the extremely brief quote:

I have been told that “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” has been moved to an undetermined date in 2017. Time for a second reboot?

Once again, this could very well not be true, but I still want to get out there how I feel about this idea.

Sony . . . I am begging you . . . PLEASE PUSH THIS MOVIE BACK!

As someone who is a massive fan of the Spider-Man character, it’s safe to say that the word, “underwhelmed,” doesn’t quite express how I felt about “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” I pretty much detested it. From the cluttered storyline to the confused tone, it felt like a completely uninspired piece of trash coming from a money hungry studio who didn’t care about the concept of making a good movie.

So if Sony really is considering pushing this film back to 2017, that means they listened. It’s common knowledge that “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” was not as well received as the first film. It’s the first film in the Spider-Man franchise to earn a rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes and still has yet to earn $200 million at the domestic box office. I really hope that Sony got the message that they screwed up with this film. They really need to get this franchise in the right direction and stop making these ridiculously stupid mistakes like overcrowding the film with unneeded characters and butchering the lore of the Spider-Man story.

What do you guys think about this? Is it a good idea for Sony to push back “The Amazing Spider-Man 3?” Did you like “The Amazing Spider-Man 2?” Leave your thoughts down below.

“The Amazing Spider-Man 3” is as of right now expected to be released on June 10, 2016 if this news is false.

Thank you guys so much for reading and, as always, “Follow the Screen, Scene X Scene!”
